Refund Policy
Last updated 28 May 2026
A paid transfer involves two separate amounts, and they’re refunded differently:
- the payment from the recipient to the sender for the work (held and paid out through Stripe), and
- reallyfinal’s platform fee for facilitating the paid transfer, which is currently 0% (waived during our introductory period).
1. The payment for the work (recipient → sender)
reallyfinal is an intermediary, not the seller of the work. The agreement for the deliverable is between the recipient and the sender, so whether that payment is refundable is decided between them.
- Recipients: if you believe you're owed a refund for the work, contact the sender first.
- Senders: you can choose to refund a recipient through your payment dashboard, subject to available balance.
- Card chargebacks and disputes are handled under Stripe’s process and the card network rules.
2. The platform fee
The platform fee is what you pay reallyfinal to run the paid transfer. It is deducted from your payout at the time the recipient pays for the transfer.
We refund the platform fee when:
- a paid transfer fails for a technical reason on our side, or
- the files are never delivered because of a fault in the service.
The fee is generally non-refundable once a transfer has been created and delivered successfully, except where a refund is required by law.
3. Failed or undelivered transfers
If a paid transfer can’t be completed (the upload fails, the link never works, or the files don’t unlock after payment due to our error), contact us and we’ll put it right, including refunding the platform fee where the fault is ours.
4. Consumer right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU buying digital content or services, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal (cooling-off period). This may not apply once supply of digital content has begun with your prior consent and acknowledgement that the right is lost. Where a sender delivers to a consumer, the sender is responsible for meeting any such obligations for their own sale. For reallyfinal’s own service fee, by creating a paid transfer you ask us to begin the service immediately and acknowledge that any withdrawal right is lost once the transfer has been created.
5. How to request a refund
Email contact@reallyfinal.app with the transfer link or ID and a short description. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
6. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe. The time to appear on your statement depends on your bank, typically 5–10 business days.
